School Songs !

We had two School Songs during our time there.....

When our year started in 1966 the original song from when the school was started in 1960 and commissioned in 1961 was still beng used :-


There's a school at Chifley, 
Our Matraville High School
Where we're taught and trained to think and work 
And respect the law and rule
And when one day we leave thee
Wherever we may be 
We shall tell them all
That we stand and fall
For our High School by the sea

Our best days were spent with thee

In about 1968, they changed the School Song to :-
