Matraville High Reunion Group - Class Of 69/71

There is a great deal of interest in a get together this year for our School Year which started First Form in 1966. The year 2011 marks a landmark 40 years since the graduating 6th Form left in 1971 as well as 50 years since the school's (official) establishment. Our "School Year" of course includes anyone and everyone who left at any time along its pathway! It is also extended to 1972 as quite a few completed "Rugby and Social Scholarships" or improved their academia in that year.

"Oh, What A Night" !!! - (Weekend)

WOW - 93 attendees !

Friday afternoon - school tour around 3.30pm - who better than one of our old year to act as tour guide than John B. now a teacher there !
Friday night - a progression to Malabar RSL - drinks and dinner !
Saturday arvo -SET UP !!! Deco's, Music, Audio Visual etc
Saturday night - the Gala Event ! 93 attendees, including 8 teachers ! 7.00pm -12.00 midnight ! Then to the downstairs bar - no one wanted to leave !
Booked out the Sands Hotel - nuff said
Sunday brekkie Maroubra Beach
Sunday lunch - Dannys at LaPa

Thank God it's only every 40 years !

We've looked at a few other venues including Malabar RSL, Randwick Golf Club and Souths Juniors. The Seals Club, Breezes Bar is a smaller, more casual venue than the large upstairs area where some recent reunions have been held - it also has an attached open balcony and a great informal setting.

It was chosen because of better hours, catering and setting.

Price includes exclusive room hire, bar staff, and finger food catering.

The date has been chosen after canvassing as many people as possible for suitability.

Please set this date aside - looking forward to seeing lots of old friends and teachers there !
